In light of the recent EHRC discussions and guidance, we want our trans friends, families and community members to hear this clearly from us:

We stand with you. Always. 🏳️‍⚧️

At Inclusion Failsworth, we believe every person deserves dignity, safety, respect and the freedom to live openly as themselves without fear, judgement or exclusion. 🤍

Trans rights are human rights. They are not up for debate.🩵

We know this has been an upsetting and uncertain time for many within the trans community, but you are not alone. Your identity is valid, your voice matters and your place within our community is unquestionable. 🩷

We will continue to champion inclusion, stand against discrimination and create spaces where everyone is welcomed, valued and celebrated exactly as they are.

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT).

At Inclusion Failsworth, we stand alongside LGBTQ+ individuals, families, parents, carers, and communities in recognising the importance of challenging discrimination, prejudice, and violence wherever it exists.

While progress has been made, there is still more work to do to ensure every LGBTQ+ person feels safe, valued, respected, and free to live as their authentic self.

Together, we continue to promote inclusion, equality, and acceptance for all.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone work for an organisation that offers employee volunteer days?

We’re looking for volunteers to help out at the Inclusion Failsworth “Failsworth in Colour” event on Saturday 22 August 2026, from 1pm–6pm. It’s a community celebration and we’d love to hear from any companies or teams who may be interested in getting involved and supporting the day.

This week is Deaf Awareness Week.

Some of you joined our British Sign Language course in April, and it was amazing to see so many people interested in learning the language 🤟

A huge thank you to Rose Knipe at Tesco Failsworth for supporting fundraising for Failsworth in Colour 💖

If you’re local and would like a book, pop down, drop some coins in the pot, and take your favourite read home with you 📚✨

Failsworth in Colour is our Pride event taking place on 22nd August at The Eight Bells Pub in Failsworth. We’re celebrating inclusion, diversity, and community together 🏳️‍🌈

🕑 Day event (2–6pm)
Expect stalls, entertainment, tombola, raffle, and lots more still to be announced!

💃 Evening cabaret (from 7pm)
We’ll be turning up the sparkle with amazing singers and dancing the night away. It’s going to be a day to remember!

📅 Get it in your diary — you won’t want to miss this!
