Having The Temperance Movement return to the Steelhouse Mountain this year is like a much-missed long lost friend knock on your door and offer up a warm embrace.

Their a ca****la re-introduction to the stage last year raised the hair on the back of the neck and brought a tear to the eye.

To have them close out the opening day of SHXV will be a truly emotional, magical SH milestone.

It is, an absolute belter…Supreme song craft and musicianship which underpins a voice that delves deep into the soul…It’s truly exceptional instrument.

It’s a huge day for Dan Byrne.

Today his debut album, ‘This Is Where the Show Begins’ is released.

We’re massively proud to be associated with him. His song craft, that voice, his performance standards and his work ethic are all attributes that - all things being equal - should earn him a great many plaudits. And it all comes with genuine humility and exceptional grace.

If you like amazing singers, you like new rock music created via classic DNA, please go out and support Dan this week.

This is Kris - along with his regular wingman, Josiah J. Manning and vocalist, Phoebe Jane - really scratching that itch to play the sort of music he first smashed down the doors with. It’s unapologetic in its rootsy-ness, pure in its gospel-tinged exuberance and built on the foundations of Kris’ first love, the blues.

This year we’re incredibly proud to announce that we’re partnering with the brilliant people at Metal For Good

In a nutshell MFG raise money to provide grants for incredible community projects that use music and the values of rock and metal to end inequalities, improve wellbeing, and provide life-changing opportunities…What’s not to like.

The big news is The Metal For Good charity raffle is now live. You could win a pair of tickets to Steelhouse XV. There’s also the opportunity to be in it to win it with a whole load of other mega rock events this summer.

Darren Wharton is a man bequeathed with the sort of legacy and pedigree very few can honestly lay credible claim to.

He was of course, chosen at the tender of 18, to become the keyboard player for one of the GOATs, Thin Lizzy. He played on ‘Chinatown’, his influence is all over, ‘Renegade’ which continued through to Lizzy’s final statement, ‘Thunder and Lightning’

There are many a fine electric blues player out there. So when we’re looking at adding something that way inclined to a STEELHOUSE bill, it needs to come at us like a category five hurricane…Ladies and gentlemen of this parish, let us introduce you to, Anthony Gomes.

This Canadian creates the sort of blues power that has a turbo attached. It’s hydraulic blues with a rock n roll roar. He’s a fret burner, a blues twister and he’s coming to SHXV to make you a believer.

Stand by and ‘Praise the Loud’, Gomes is coming for you! Frets will be scorched on Friday 24th of July.

We are delighted to welcome back a true friend of STEELHOUSE.

He’s been with us as a part of his fantastic band, The Union, he’s also headlined in 2016 and 2019 with the mighty mothership that he’ll always be known for co-piloting, Thunder and he was of course a very important part of the BernieFest All-Stars.

He is the song-writer’s song-writer, a tunesmith par excellence and he returns this year being simply himself with a killer band and all that song power. Prepare to drink in all that talent during his set on SHXV opening Friday.

When it comes to smashing it out of the festival park, there aren’t many that hit a home run as consistently as !

We’re delighted they’ll be stepping up to the plate at SHXV - some 14 years after first conquering The Mountain.

‘Good Feeling’, ‘Naked’, ‘Come Back Brighter’, ‘I’ve Got Something to Say’, ‘Yer Old’ and yes the perennial festival behemoth, ‘Place Your Hands’…These are songs built for sunny days in green, green fields!
