Hello....my name is Donna & I had a brainwave one evening that I wanted to find my wee mum (widowed for 15 years) a companion.

(North Lanarkshire, Scotland)
If you have a loved one (grandparent/parent/relative/friend) over aged 60, on their own & looking for a companion or just new friends, why don't you get them to take part in our event to meet like minded others. I figured there must be others in the same boat as her & so here I am, starting an over 60s companions event 'My Maw, Your Paw, Oor A'body', to try help like minded people find new friendships.

🥰 Well....what can I say.....what a great wee day!!! 🫶🏻 Sooooo happy to see so many people chatting away & I can't wait to host more of these events for you all 🤩.

Feedback has been very positive with some asking for it to be a monthly thing 🤭.

Connecting people (& in the old fashioned way) was my goal & I'm so pleased it went really well 🥰🥰🥰

️🔹️ 1.00pm - Doors open (let's you get signed in and grab a wee drink 🥃)
🔹️1.15pm, the awesome Carol-anne will be singing 🎶
🔹️1.45pm, wee intro and welcome
🔹️2.00pm, ice-breakers and meeting everyone
🔹️3.00pm wee break & more tunes from Carol-anne 🎶
🔹️4.00pm, end of event

🎤 ️4-6pm 🎤
The Social Club are hosting a karaoke 🎶 and you're super welcome to stay on for it 😎

Hey everyone 👋🏻 I'm soooo excited to announce that there will be a little live music 🎶 at our event 🤩

The very talented 'Carol-anne Carrigan' has very kindly offered to come along and sing a few numbers for you all 🎶🫶🏻 Carol-anne has played at Condorrat Social Club many times & I was over the moon when she got in touch 🙏🏻

🤗 just wanted to say......I realise there might be some people put off coming along to this event because they're maybe a bit nervous/don't know what to expect.....I totally get that.....so......if it helps, people are super welcome to bring someone along with them for moral support....🫶🏻

It's not just about finding romance, it's about companionship/friendship too 🫶🏻🙏🏻
