Britain’s biggest inland waterways event, Crick Boat Show is organised by Waterways World in association with the Canal & River Trust and Crick Waterside and Marina, and is expected to attract over 26,000 visitors. As well as being the canal world’s biggest marketplace, showcasing the inland waterways industry with over 200 exhibitors, Crick Boat Show offers a fantastic day out with more than 30 n

ew boats to view, plus used boats, free boat trips, free advice seminars on boat ownership, technical masterclasses, live music, children’s activities, a real ale marquee, and a large variety of food and drink stalls. Now in its 25th year, the Show hosts the largest display of new inland boats, both narrowboats and wide beams, and for three days it becomes Britain’s largest chandlery when over 200 exhibitors bring together the complete range of equipment and materials for inland boating. For Saturday 24, Sunday 25 and Monday 26 May, adult tickets are £19.00 on the gate, £17.10 if purchased in advance. Three-day adult tickets are £43.00 on the gate, £38.70 in advance. All advance tickets will be sent out in May and delivery is free of charge. Advance tickets can be ordered online or by phone until 12noon on Friday 16 May 2025. Camping pitch prices start at £51.00 for one night for a 6m x 6m pitch for a tent and car. Evening entertainment will run from 7.30pm to 11.30pm on Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May.

Sunday at the Crick Boat Show came with more sunshine, more seminars and plenty more to see and do 🛥

During our Trade & Preview day Calcutt Boats held workshops with engaging, hands-on training delivered in collaboration with trainers from the Inland Waterways Association 's Sustainable Boating Group.

Calcutt’s instructors ran a series of three practical workshops in the Masterclass Theatre:

▪ Diesel Engine Introduction
▪ Boaters’ First Aid
▪ Propulsion & Power

The sessions were praised for being both educational and enjoyable by all that attended, making them another successful addition to the Crick Boat Show schedule for 2026🚤

Today the Seminar theatre hosted a panel discussion chaired by Paul Knox-Johnston of Haven Knox-Johnston - our headline sponsors.

During the hour-long session Paul, joined by Matthew Symonds Canal & River Trust , Charlie Norman Inland Waterways Association , Tiffany Gale-Haynes Kingsground Narrowboats and Peter Johns Waterways World Crick Boat Show , hashed out the challenges and opportunities currently facing our waterways, opened up to questions from the audience and created space for the boating community to share their experiences.
