We’re growing the DOSE Fest team!

Following the success of our first festival, we’re already building towards DOSE Fest 2027, and we’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic volunteer to help us tell the story along the way.

As our Social Media & Content Creation Volunteer, you’ll help turn our content plans into engaging posts, stories, graphics and short-form content, as well as bringing your own ideas to the mix.

You’ll work alongside the DOSE Fest team and an experienced branding and marketing strategist, gaining hands-on experience while helping us grow a movement focused on happier, healthier and more connected communities.

This could be a great opportunity if you’re a student, graduate, emerging creative, or simply someone who loves social media and wants to build real-world experience and a portfolio of published work.

2–4 hours per week | Predominantly remote | Voluntary

DOSE Fest was created around the belief that people can play an active role in their own wellbeing, especially when they have access to the right support, knowledge and opportunities within their community.

Following the very first DOSE Fest, Cllr Julia Frascona, Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford 2026–2027, shared:

“Your vision of a community-based Festival which helps people to understand that they can have real agency in their own lives and improve their physical and mental wellbeing themselves by engaging with services, organisations, charities and practitioners within their local area has immense potential to make a real difference to the quality of people's lives in Chelmsford.

I was extremely impressed and spoke to many stall holders and members of the public who were also impressed and grateful for all you and your team are doing for the community.”

Hiring a venue should be straightforward, which is why we've included many of the essentials to make planning your event that little bit easier.

When you hire Angel Pavilion you'll have access to tables and chairs, WiFi, heating and air conditioning, accessible facilities and free parking at Broomfield Community Centre car park.

You're also welcome to bring your own food and soft drinks, or if you'd rather keep things simple, we can help arrange catering in advance through Cheerful Chai. We even offer the option of running a café tab for your guests, with hirers receiving 10% off their final bill.

DOSE Fest was built around a simple idea.

Supporting health should not only begin once someone reaches crisis point.
Communities also need accessible spaces where people can connect, learn, move, ask questions, discover support and explore practical ways to look after their wellbeing.

James Halden, Chief of Staff at NHS Essex, shared:

“I was so deeply impressed with the event. It’s rare to be able to see children having fun while adults learn about health and care all at the same venue! Community wellbeing isn’t found in a clinical building or the result of an NHS contract - it’s found in events like DOSE Fest. Can’t wait for the next one!”

Every child deserves the opportunity to approach learning with confidence.
