TIME FOR ANOTHER WELCOME 👏

Introducing Tilley! A performance and visual artist who will be joining us at DOSE Fest alongside performance partner Del to bring us something truly unique!

Tilley is well used to the festival and events scene and will be a wonderful addition to the day.

Tilley couldn't say it better themself:

"PUFFING & WOOLING" ~ A fully inclusive, interactive and relaxing, mindful experience, welcoming people of all ages/abilities ~ most especially Autistic/Neurodiverse people, just like me. Each Experience we Host, is totally immersive, unique, and improvised, guided solely by whomever joins us, rather than us, as Facilitators, as our guests always know what they need most of all, from us, and that time and space that we are providing them, after all. We are quite simply just there to hold that Space, and give permission to rest, and prioririse Self Care and expression, without any expectations, whatsoever.

Activities can include Den Building, Mindful Arts & Crafts, Poetry, Songs, Story Time, Jokes, etc. Just listening/chatting, not doing anything at all, Napping/Sleeping is also welcomed, always.

TILLEY & DEL ARE HERE TO PROVIDE A NURTURING SPACE FOR EVERYONE ~ FOR RELAXATION, AND HAVING FUN, WHILST TAKING TIME OUT TO UNWIND, AND BE YOURSELF ~ REMEMBERING, THIS IS YOUR PRECIOUS TIME & SPACE TO BREATHE, AND JUST BE, AND WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS PERFECT FOR DOSEFEST, TOO, NO DOUBT!"

💜 DOSE Fest began with a question:
How do we create spaces where people can feel happier, healthier, more connected and supported before they reach crisis point?

For me, this question has been shaped by my own journey of growth, healing and learning. An understanding of what it really means to feel well, to belong, to rebuild confidence, and to find the small, everyday things that support happiness and health.

Through Angel Pavilion Community Hub, I saw the power of safe, welcoming spaces where people could feel less alone, reconnect with others and access support in a more human way.

But I also saw gaps.

Across Chelmsford, local priorities around loneliness, physical activity, children’s wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, access to culture and community connection have all helped shape this inaugural event.

That is why DOSE Fest has been designed to inspire, educate and entertain - bringing together music, movement, creativity, talks, workshops, family activities, local organisations and community-led experiences.

Our aim is simple: for every person to leave happier, healthier, better informed and more empowered than when they arrived.

And this is only the beginning.

There is more following this event, as The Happiness Equation CIC continues to build a wider vision for happier, healthier communities through prevention, connection, creativity and joy.

ONCE UPON A TIME 📚

We welcomed the to DOSE Fest!! 👏

With their impactful story about Connection.

The Best Prize is a sweet rhyming picture book about a boy, Sam, who wins a super cool toy smartphone, but it wins all his attention. Sam’s obsession with his phone causes him to narrowly miss out on something far more precious - friendship and real adventure with a very patient and forgiving real life bear. 🐻

The duo will be offering inspiring workshops throughout the day as well as selling mech!

Created by the Barber Brothers, a multi-award winning creative duo based in Essex. The brothers and their delightfully inspiring book is currently on tour in schools around the UK.

DOSE Fest is the perfect tonic for those building on their journey or needing guidance to begin. If I can help anyone achieve a happier, healthier lifestyle, I’ll be delighted.”

Why does DOSE Fest resonate with you?
“DOSE Fest resonates with me hugely because I’ve historically not taken care of my own wellbeing. I’m ex-military and used to just ‘crack on’ without listening to my body or inner self. It was only by being around people who shared their knowledge that I began to pay attention to my wellbeing. For me, that’s what DOSE Fest is all about: helping people learn ways of looking after themselves and living more healthy and fulfilling lives.”

How do you take care of your personal wellbeing?
“I’m a walker, and being outdoors is a big part of my wellbeing. It gives me quiet space to think, away from hectic daily life.”
