Looking for an easy costume this Halloween? Try fake ectoplasm inspiration

These are real photographs taken throughout the 20th century of spirit mediums producing ghostly figures and ectoplasm during seances.

I love the collage elements, use of lace and what looks like paper mache.

Next Thursday November 5th

As the dark nights draw in we will be celebrating Samhain and Bonfire night with live music from Laurie Lelliot, folklore, film projecting, open mic, fire and tea

Laurie Lelliot performs a selection of seasonally grim oddments from the folk song indices of Britain, as well as a sprinkling of original tunes.

Mushroom Dump

Had great fun browsing three wooded areas this last week to see if we could spot any mushrooms

Yep…it’s definitely a good time to look.

Reminder for this Saturday’s Folk on Foot. A live music walk with The little jam project a singer, violinist, guitarist trio will play some lovely sounds for us around Ashton Court Estate following the path that will lead us to the giant folk heads.

Tickets up for the next ‘Folk on Foot’ on Saturday 10th October at 2pm.

We will be walking around Ashton Court Estate stopping for live music from Bristol based three piece The little jam project . The path will lead us to the giant heads of folklore legends, Goram and Vincent. Along the way we will also see what trees we can identify on our Autumn walk.
