Artist Highlight 🌟

Paper Verses are “...𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘒 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘬 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘪𝘵” ~ 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗨𝗞 and they play for us this September as part of our free event series.

Their's is an intimate collection of original acoustic songs, exploring the dysfunction, longing and hope within our relationships.

Matt’s unique acoustic flat-picking guitar style stands out, alongside Simone’s exceptional vocals. 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 stated, "𝘈 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘺 𝘋𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘺", describing the vocals that shift easily from delicate lightness to powerful delivery.

Their new EP features intricate melodies and beautiful two-part harmonies. Some tracks are complemented by the gentle hum of harmonium, harmonica,
and violin.

Artist spotlight - Wickenwood.

Folk Balladeers Wickenwood base their sound around harmony driven vocals, backed up by guitar, bouzouki and fiddle.

Their passion for history and folklore takes them all around the country, drawing songwriting inspiration from the people, tales and legends of the places they visit.

We're so looking forward to having them play as part of the festival this September.

The band will play at the The Dog & Duck - Bognor Regis at 16:00 on Sunday 13th September, as part of our free showcase of events.

The 2026 event promises to be wonderful, as we host a huge array of dance displays in numerous locations across the centre of Bognor Regis, as well as open mic sessions, free workshops, a ukulele festival, real ale festival, festival markets, children's entertainment and so much more.

With Celtic and Eastern influences, the 3 Daft Monkeys’ dynamic style of world folk music and infectious dancing rhythms lead you through a musical journey and may leave you breathless, enthralled, and exhilarated.

Lyrics of personal and whimsical observations on life, and folk tales both ancient and modern are told within the layers of their music, which add to their catchy sing-along choruses.

3 Daft Monkeys with support from Ed Goodale Music, play at Venue 24 - Legends - Sheiks on Sunday 13th September, as part of our ticketed series.

Phil Beer + Megson play Friday 11th Sept.

Phil Beer is the multi-instrumental half of the west country’s award-winning acoustic duo Show of Hands. With a professional career of over 36 years, Phil has a great deal of material to draw on for his solo appearances, which are an eclectic mix of traditional tunes, covers of Springsteen and The Hollies, together with his own compositions and songs from his contemporaries.

Megson Combining an infectious mix of heavenly vocals, lush harmonies and driving rhythmic guitars, Megson have gained a reputation not only for their arresting & intelligent song writing, but also for their exquisite musicianship and northern humour. Comprising Debs Hanna (vocals, whistle, piano, accordion) and Stu Hanna (guitar, mandola, banjo) Megson have been described as “the most original duo on the British folk scene” by The Guardian and as FROOTS Magazine puts it “𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮.”
