You may have seen the name before, but if you’re not familiar with the Line Dance Foundation (LDF), here’s a little bit about the incredible work they do.

The LDF was established in 2007 by Betty Drummond of Linedancer Magazine with the goal of supporting people within the dance community who are unable to earn a living due to illness, accident, or other difficult circumstances.

In December 2015, the Foundation became a Registered Charity, allowing it to operate on an international level. Today, the LDF is supported by a dedicated network of Officers and Ambassadors who volunteer their time to help the Foundation continue its mission. ❤️
The Line Dance Foundation is an important part of our dance community, helping provide support when dancers, teachers, choreographers, musicians, and others in our community need it most.

This is such a great question—and one we get all the time!

Let’s keep it simple:

For the People categories, there will be a nomination survey released in late Fall (don’t worry—we’ll share the link right here when it’s live 😊). Just fill it out and submit it to nominate a PERSON.

Now for the dances—here’s where you come in! Head over to https://www.linedancerweb.com/ (it’s completely FREE), create a login, and start voting for your favorite dances or the ones you’ve loved teaching in your classes. Voting is what determines which dances get nominated!

Be sure to spread the word and encourage your friends to vote too—this is how you could end up taking home a Crystal Boot Award!
