Late Summer Sledmere House and Gardens and the sublime walled garden just gets better every year.
I was blown away with the whole experience. So much effort has been made beyond the house and gardens (which are still very impressive)
We werenāt quick enough to take a house tour but it didnāt matter. The detail from the new parking to the farm shop (with air conditioning š) we canāt talk highly enough of the Bombay roll or the ham sandwich all so fresh.
Thereās also a gift shop, art gallery, indoor play barn, another cafe with a date and honey slice amongst the offering.
The stables history was so interesting, there were once over 300 horses at the house. We rounded off our visit at the Waggoners Museum about the Waggoners of the Yorkshire Wolds. What remarkable people Sledmere has played host to over the years.
