SUNDAY AM ASCENT CANCELLED

Due to high upper winds, in excess of the safety limits of our pilots, combined with a passing cold front causing instability during our flying period, the morning mass ascent has had to be cancelled. Entertainment will now begin at 9am, as planned, with the Model Aircraft Display.

We will continue to monitor the winds throughout the day and when safe to do so inflate balloons in the Cameron Arena during the tethering times.

Tomorrows six hour air display will continue as planned including the RAF Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, RAF Falcons, MiG 17F, Grumman Tracker Firecat, Sea King and much more.

We appreciate your support, and look forward to seeing you all for the final day of the Midlands Air Festival 2026.

Just 1 day to go!!!!

This fantastic summer weather is going to continue as we head into this weekend and our aviation spectacular!

We begin with Nightfire tomorrow with a small air display, mass hot air balloon ascent, model pyro display, pyrotechnic aircraft display, choreographed hot air balloon glow, and we round off with a firework finale!

Saturday and Sunday sees the return of our huge six hour air display and our stunning hot air balloon ascents, alongside tethering of our huge historic balloons.

The 2026 Midlands Air Festival is just 2 days away!!! The weather has been stunning here whilst the team build the site and this is looking to continue right throughout the event!

In just 2 days we will be getting ready for our opening day, Nightfire! Featuring an air display, followed by a mass hot air balloon launch, we then head into our twilight displays of a mock model pyro aircraft display, pyro air display, choreographed hot air balloon night glow and a spectacular firework finale - One Moment in Time!
