The microphones in Strasbourg had a busy Friday! 🎤

On 23 October, Euroscola brought students from across Europe together to debate human rights, solidarity and the issues that matter to them.

They put their questions to , shared their opinions and got a taste of parliamentary life in the hemicycle. 🇪🇺

And judging by the number of hands raised, they had plenty to say. 🙋‍♂️

Here’s a little recap of their day! 💙

Tag that one classmate who would NEVER give up the mic. 👀

So, what’s on the agenda? 👀

💶 €47.39 billion budget, up from the €40.8 billion proposed by the Commission
🏠 Support that reflects differences in living costs, housing prices and inflation
🤝 At least 20% of participants with less access to opportunities
👩‍🏫 Better help for teachers and trainers

And the €20,000 prize goes to… 🏆

The 2026 Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for Journalism has been awarded to Giacomo Zandonini and Maite Vermeulen for “Cuffed, caged, cast away: This is Europe’s ‘innovative solution’ for unwanted migrants”, published by De Correspondent.

Their investigation examined the migration deal between Italy and Albania, uncovering a lack of transparency and raising concerns about human rights and the rule of law.
