When you travel with others, you are constantly compromising. You eat when they are hungry, look at what they want to see, and match their energy levels.

The Ultimate Freedom is a solo date removes the noise. If you want to spend three hours staring at one painting in a museum, you can. If you want to skip the famous landmark to read a book by the river, there is no one there to tell you you’re doing it wrong.

When you are alone in a new city, your senses sharpen. You notice the architecture, the smell of the local pastries, and the rhythm of the language around you. You aren’t distracted by conversation and you are FULLY there.

Paradoxically, being alone makes you more approachable. Locals and fellow travelers are much more likely to strike up a conversation with a solo woman reading a book at a bar than a group of people locked in their own world.

Here are NomadHer teams favorite 18 solo date ideas with your own self when you go on solo traveling. What’s other ideas that you wish to share with our community?

1️⃣ Tokyo Hikari Guesthouse (Most Recommended)
Aka favorite

The Vibe: Cozy, super friendly, and highly rated for solo travelers who want a warm, homey environment.
