Yesterday, CareerDay at EXPO REAL once again brought together students, graduates, young professionals, and companies from across the real estate industry. The event offered opportunities to make valuable connections, explore career paths, and take the first step toward future opportunities.

➡️ Left or right? That was the challenge in our latest Career Check, where visitors picked a side and shared their spontaneous answers to career-related questions.

More realism. Less pessimism.

That was one of the key takeaways from yesterday’s wrap-up session at the Investment Forum.

After three days of meetings, panels and discussions, industry experts reflected on the current state of the market. The conclusion was honest: Not every challenge has been solved, and the bottom may not have been reached everywhere. Yet good projects are moving forward, international investors are looking closely at Germany, and new opportunities are emerging across hospitality, logistics, infrastructure and digitalization.

EXPO REAL 2026 once again proved to be a place for serious conversations, new orientation and the confidence to keep moving.

Or, as the panel put it: No business is not an option.

As EXPO REAL 2026 comes to an end, one thing is clear: the industry's need for dialogue, collaboration and new ideas remains strong.

🤝 More than 42,000 participants from 74 countries and 1,777 exhibitors from 37 nations came together in Munich. The slight increase in participants compared to 2025 underlines the continued importance of EXPO REAL as a meeting place for the industry.

🏗️ This year also saw the debut of InfrastructureNow, bringing real estate and infrastructure closer together and highlighting the growing importance of energy, digital and social infrastructure.

🏠 Housing remained a key topic, with discussions focusing on affordable housing, innovative building concepts and the close link between politics, investment and project delivery.

💡 At Transform & Beyond, companies and startups presented solutions for decarbonization, digitalization, AI and energy management, demonstrating how innovation is shaping the future of the built environment.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made EXPO REAL 2026 such a special gathering of the international real estate community. We look forward to continuing the conversation and welcoming you back to Munich from 4-6 October 2027. 👋
