Munich Knits Festival 2025 🧶
Ich bin immer noch nicht drüber hinweg, wie viele unglaubliche Pullover letztes Jahr auf dem Festival unterwegs waren 😍
Überall, wirklich ÜBERALL: Jacquard, Fair Isle und Stranded Knitting in allen Farben, Formen und Kombinationen.
Von klassischen nordischen Mustern bis hin zu modernen, richtig mutigen Farbexplosionen – jede*r hat seine ganz eigene Handschrift getragen. Und genau das macht’s so besonders: Kein Teil wie das andere, aber alle mit so viel Liebe gestrickt!
Man konnte kaum zwei Schritte gehen, ohne stehen zu bleiben und zu denken:
„Okay wow… DEN will ich auch stricken.“

I still can’t get over how many incredible sweaters were walking around last year 😍
Everywhere you looked: Jacquard, Fair Isle, and stranded knitting in all possible color combos.
From classic Nordic patterns to bold, modern color explosions – everyone brought their own style. And that’s what made it so special: not a single piece looked the same, but you could feel the love in every stitch 💛
You could barely take two steps without stopping and thinking:
“Okay wow… I NEED to knit that.”

Nach intensiver Planung steht fest:

👉 Zutritt zum Munich Knits Yarn & Craft Festival 2026 am Samstag nur noch mit selbstgestrickten Socken.

Ja, wirklich.

Keine handgestrickten Socken → kein Eintritt.

Ihr dürft natürlich auch mit anderen Socken kommen (aber warum solltest du das wollen?)

Letzten Sommer habe ich Maschenproben gesammelt – viele kleine gestrickte Quadrate aus ganz unterschiedlichen Wollen, Garnen und Strickmustern. 🧶
Alle wurden auf Tüll aufgenäht, anschließend an die Wand getackert und mit dem Neon-Schriftzug „Munich Knits“ ergänzt.
So entstand unsere Munich Knits Selfie Wall – eine Wand voller Strickideen, Wollstrukturen und Maschen.
Nebenbei habe ich dabei übrigens eine komplette Staffel Downton Abbey geschaut.
Stricken, Wolle und britisches Drama – überraschend gute Kombination. 😉

Last summer I collected knitting swatches – lots of small squares made with different yarns, wool and stitch patterns. 🧶
All swatches were sewn onto tulle, then tacked to the wall and finished with a neon “Munich Knits” sign.
That’s how the Munich Knits Selfie Wall was created – a wall full of knitting textures, wool and stitches.
Also: I watched an entire season of Downton Abbey while sewing it together.
Apparently knitting, yarn and British drama go very well together. 😉
