🌿 Can the garden be an antidote to digitalisation?

As our lives become increasingly digital, gardens and garden centres can offer something we all need: a place to slow down, connect and reset. 💚

At “The Green Chair” panel discussion at spoga+gafa 2026, VDG President Martina Mensing-Meckelburg and other industry experts explored the idea of the garden centre as a “third place”, a space that goes beyond shopping to create experiences, community and a connection with nature.

💬 “It slows people down, grounds them, they need something where they can reset.”

🎧 Dive deeper into the conversation in the latest podcast episode and discover why the future of garden retail could be about creating meaningful experiences, not just selling products.
