This weeks volunteer spotlight is Chloe! When she started in the Junior Ambassador program, right away she got involved in much more than just the planned activities. She comes out to board meetings, she helps with the Youth Section of the Fair book, she contributes many ideas and suggestions to engage the youth at our Fair.

This week's volunteer spotlight is Darryl. His involvement with the Fair goes beyond just the days of the Fair. He regularly attends Board meetings, contributing his insights and thoughts during the planning process. On the days of setup, takedown and the two days of the Fair itself you can find Darryl helping in all manner of things, including taking extremely careful care of the antique entries.

Our Volunteer Spotlight this week is Barb. She manages the Youth section of the Fair book and exhibits during the fair, along with a number of volunteers. In her own words: It was especially exciting to see the inception of the Junior Ambassador Programme a few years ago. I believe that this leadership programme is an excellent way to get young people involved in the Fair and in their communities. Spending time with youth has always been my pleasure. I value that opportunity and am grateful to be able to do this after my time in teaching.

Time for us to Spotlight our Board members (also volunteers)! First up, Marlene. She makes our board great as she enjoys meeting with others in the community and work together the day of the fair and watch our visions come to life. Watching our community come to enjoy the fair is the highlight for her. She also enjoys the opportunities to learn more through events that the OAAS puts on that help bring growth for her personally. Especially as she can take what was learned and apply it to other aspects of her life.
