Running, craft beer, and making new friends 🍻

We joined Island Beers Run Club for another stop in our run crew series and got to see what makes this crew so unique. Each week, they meet at a different local pub before heading out for a few easy miles, giving runners a chance to explore the city, meet new people, and stick around after for a craft beer or beverage of choice.

Because sometimes the best part of a run is the community (and beer) waiting at the end of it 💙

We’re excited to share that we’ve already reached 10,000 registrations for the 2026 Royal Victoria Marathon weekend!

With strong momentum across all distances, 2026 is shaping up to be our largest event yet as runners from around the world get ready to join us in Victoria this October.

Each year, the Royal Victoria Marathon brings together an incredible community of runners, volunteers, spectators, and supporters for a memorable Thanksgiving weekend on some of Canada’s most scenic race routes.

Events are capped and registrations are filling quickly, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to secure your spot at the start line.

2026 Volunteer registration is officially open!

Join the Peninsula Co-op Royal Victoria Marathon Volunteer Team for the 2026 Royal Victoria Marathon, taking place from Thursday, October 8 to Sunday, October 11.

Every Royal Victoria Marathon weekend is powered by the people who show up behind the scenes, from package pickup and route marshalling to refuelling runners at the aid stations.

This year, more than 15,000 participants will take part across the Marathon, Outway Half Marathon, Westland Insurance 8K, Island Savings 5K, and Thrifty Foods Kids Run, and we rely on an incredible volunteer crew to help make the experience unforgettable.

We travelled over to the mainland for BMO Vancouver Marathon weekend and joined Mondays Run Club for a shakeout that captured everything we love about race weekend!

Veronica has created an amazing crew over here in Vancouver and races like BMO remind us how connected the running community makes us feel. The vibes were high, the energy was inspiring and we're looking forward to feeling it all again in the fall.

Thanks to Monday's for having us out and for helping us kick off a great weekend! 🏅
