That time of year again. Plans, organization and registration have begun for this years premier showcase event in western Canada. BC’s Best is scheduled for June 7 again at UVic. Coaches will be receiving registration forms to distribute to players very soon. Don’t delay as the event has sold out the last 5 years and promises to be another talented day for BC lacrosse players. Feel free to message here for details.

A huge thanks for all the amazing athletes and their efforts yesterday. It was unfortunate our college coaches could not be in attendance to watch and assess some awesome lacrosse talent that was displayed but they will all see the videos soon!! Fantastic day and fantastic work by all. Enjoy the rest of your summers. We will be in touch soon with information and links for your own viewing and editing.

Hello all - thanks very much for your patience as we all work through the guidelines of return to sport and the pandemic. It is with great excitement that we can inform all of our intended date to host this year's version of BC's Best. Mark July 14, 2021, on your calendars. Last week's announcement from the BC government and PHO combined with today's news from ViaSport give us confidence that we will be able to follow all guidelines and protocols required for outdoor sports and have an excellent and competitive event that BC lacrosse players and families can look forward to. We will consult with the BCLA as well to ensure all Covid protocols are met.

Unfortunately, due to border closures we will not be able to have the number of coaches in attendance as we have in the past, but we have been in contact with many and have informed that the event will be filmed and posted on BC's Best YouTube account for all NCAA coaches to view (and review). All coaches will be provided with information packages and contact information for all BC's Bests' athletes.

Registration forms will be available later this week or early next week.

Hello everyone - we hope that all are safe and well. Apologies for the delayed response and update but have been at the mercy of the pandemic. We continue to monitor and wait/hope for guidelines and restrictions to change and allow sport to return to a phase and level where it would be acceptable to have modified games, contact, and scrimmages.

The planned and annual date of the first Wed in June (June 2) was and is always the target date. We had hoped that we would be able to host the event on this date.

Unfortunately the current travel restrictions, Covid guidelines, and current phase 2 of sport the province is under will not allow for a proper and 'real' opportunity for the type of play looked for on the day. May 25th the PHO will be announcing to the province if the current restrictions will remain or lessened. Unfortunately, even if good news is received on that date it does not allow us enough time to properly put together and host BC's Best as we have in the past.

We will wait for the announcements on May 25th. It is our feeling that Via Sport needs to be in Phase 3 for BC's Best to occur. If good news is received we have tentative dates for early and/or mid July that we will look to use to run the event in Victoria. As soon as firm details can be released we will contact and post immediately.

We understand people have lives, commitments, and other lacrosse opportunities and it is our hope to minimize the conflict as much as possible by being cognizant of other dates out there. If you have already paid, would like to request a refund, or are not comfortable with this please contact Chris.

In normal years BC's Best would have had posts, emails, applications ready for early February in preparation for the annual premier recruiting event in early June. While the pandemic and local restrictions and guidelines have certainly made all aware that 2020 and 2021 are definitely different we wanted to let all know that we are meeting and planning as best we can to manage a way to host this event in June of 2021 after missing 2020.

Please be patient and understand that BC's Best will have to wait for and determine in which ways to best host the event depending on where and which phase the Provincial Health Organization, ViaSport, and the BCLA are in. We have multiple scenarios in play and will likely wait until March or early April to post an update and inform parents and players in which manner to proceed.

Chris has reached out to those who registered for the 2020 event by email with more information.

We are determined to find a way in which BC's Best returns to action for the top 150 players in BC and hopefully will have that information available sooner than later. Until then, be safe and be healthy.
