HBFX REWIND | EPISODE 6 🎬❤️

The Zafar Brothers filled the Halal Bites stage with soulful voices and melodies that had everyone hooked, with each song getting better than the last. Before long, Nathan Phillips Square turned into one big sing-along, as the Desi community joined in, celebrating the music, culture, and connection that brought everyone together.

Scrolling through these and realizing we really packed a LOT into one weekend.

The food, the vendors, the stage, the random conversations, the people we met along the way, there was always something going on.

And honestly, these photos barely cover it.

Halal Bites 2026, you were a good one.

FIFA may be over, but the football energy is still very much alive.

Abdullah Emad took over the square with freestyle football that had people stopping, watching, and wondering how on earth he was doing half of it.

A little reminder that the World Cup energy doesn’t have to end when the final whistle does.

Consider this our way of keeping it going.

In the middle of all the noise, the food, the music, and everything happening around us, there was a moment that brought everything to a pause.

A beautiful Athan by MalikTheMusafir 🧳 , filling the space and reminding us of what truly brings our community together.

A moment of peace, reflection, and faith, right in the heart of Halal Bites.

Some moments don’t need much explanation. This was one of them. 💕

One random mic pass.
One Bollywood classic.
One crowd that knew every single word.

One of the things we loved most about this year’s festival was seeing the connection between our performers and the crowd.

During the Zafar Brothers’ set, they invited a member of the audience to join them on stage. Junaid stepped up to the mic, sang Tum Hi Ho, and within moments the crowd was singing right along with him.

It was one of those genuine interactions that reminded us why live events are so special, bringing strangers together through music, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

A beautiful moment we’ll be replaying for a long time.

Not us casually building a crowd every 15 minutes

One drum beat and suddenly everyone forgot where they were going.

Here’s a little rewind of the moments that turned the stage into the place to be.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐎!!!
and just like that… Halal Bites Round 2 comes to an end

I genuinely don’t think a simple thank you will ever be enough for everyone who was part of this journey. What people see during the event is the fun, the food, the performances, and the crowds… but behind all of that were people giving their time, energy, sleep, patience, and hearts to make this happen 👏

to our core team and media team thank you for showing up every single day and giving your all, even during the stressful moments, last-minute changes, and complete chaos

to our volunteers thank you for the countless hours, helping hands, and smiles you brought throughout the weekend.

to our performers thank you for bringing life and energy to the stage and creating moments people will remember long after the festival ended

to our vendors and sponsors thank you for trusting us, being part of this experience, and helping create something bigger than just an event .

to every attendee who came out, posted, shared, laughed, danced, supported, and spent your weekend with us, thank you for making Nathan Phillips Square feel like home for three unforgettable days 🤍💛

and lastly… thank you Ibtissam, our big boss for leading, believing in the vision, and carrying so much behind the scenes that people may never even see.

this weekend became more than an event. It became memories, friendships, and moments I know we will carry with us for a long time

Until next time
