We are still speechless and incredibly emotional over such a spectacular weekend, celebrating 22 years of the Canada Salsa & Bachata Congress.
We are eternally grateful to every single person who made this event possible. From an exhilarating competition to breathtaking shows, spectacular workshops, and dancing the night away to wonderful music. What started as an intimate, one-room congress in 2003 has become one of the largest dance events in North America with thousands of attendees from all over the world, and that's thanks to each and every one of you.
Thank you to the instructors, performers, and competitors from across Canada and around the world. The creativity, dedication, hard work and talent of all the performers and team directors help make our event so special.
Thank you to our artists and instructors for your phenomenal shows, outstanding instruction, and for sharing your art and creation with all of us at the Canada Salsa & Bachata Congress. Thank you to all our performers, who have invested months and months into preparations, practices, choreographing, costume designing, and endless rehearsing in order to bring your art and express yourselves on the stage. Teams, couples, and soloists, it was an honour and a privilege to watch you on stage.
Thank you to all our competitors. What was once a one-hour competition some years ago is now the Canadian National Canadian Salsa & Bachata Championships, the largest latin dance competition in Canada and one of the largest in North America. We are very thankful to all of the competitors for putting in endless hours of practice, and to their teachers and directors for their dedicated training and coaching. A special thank you to Kelly Lannan for managing and overseeing the competitions and ensuring that everything ran on time and so smoothly! Thank you to our world-renowned panel of judges, our hardworking deck captains and Megan Roche and Annick Paquet, our scrutineers, as well as our competition DJs for all of their time and dedication, and to our competition MC, Armando Cervantes, for the fantastic and exciting energy.
