Another schedule example for 4 months old!

Most babies will drop for 4 to 3 naps around 4 months of age. This example includes just 3 naps, with the first nap being the maximum 2hours. Most babies this age are not taking long naps yet, so don’t be afraid to rescue a nap (usually the first nap is the most successful!) to help them learn to nap longer and allow you to skip the fourth nap.

Stay tuned for an 8 month schedule example tomorrow! 🩵💤🩵

What age should I do next?! Comment below ⬇️

At 6 months old, most babies will still be taking 3 naps a day. You can expect them to drop to 2 naps in the coming weeks/months, once wake windows are a bit longer and naps are consolidating more consistently!

This example shows a bridge nap for nap 3. A bridge nap is a great tool when you don’t have time for a full nap and a full wake window before your desired bedtime. It allows you to shorten up the wake window after the snooze, so we can maintain a more consistent bedtime and ensure the day isn’t super long!!

Let me know what questions you have! 💙💤🩵

Does sleep training scare you?! I get it! Most people think of Cry It Out, but I promise it doesn’t need to be like that. We can use supportive approaches and still achieve change for the better.

I’ve worked with over 600 families and seen incredible sleep transformations, all while using gentler methods. Your baby craves consistency! And it usually is more about changing YOUR habits, they will follow you 🩷

If you are struggling, give me a FOLLOW! I answer sleep questions like this one every Wednesday. And if you need one on one support, book a free call (link in bio)! I’d love to help you 🥰💤
