Light up Longview (L*L) will be turning off the Christmas lights Friday January 16. Today will be the last chance to see the lights in the campground this season. We would like to thank all our volunteers and donors, it was a very good year, without you we could not have done it. See you all next season.

That’s a wrap for another year! The L*L committee would like to thank all the volunteers for helping make Light Up 2025 a success — it’s wonderful to see our village all lit up.

We hope everyone has a chance this holiday season to enjoy the lights throughout Longview. Thank you to all who entered the contest and helped brighten our village again this year — it looks so festive and Christmassy.

Winners of this year’s "Light Up Your House" contest are:
1st Place - 103A Morrinson Rd
2nd Place - 614 Riverview Place
3rd Place - 217 Royalties Cres

Our commercial category was competitive, but Badland’s (Clayton) took the prize, with special shout-outs to Brass Buffalo Trading Post (Risa) and The Styx (Joe).

L*L wishes everyone a joyful and safe holiday season. We'll be meeting in January to begin planning the takedown and our volunteer wrap-up and thank-you gathering — stay tuned, you won't want to miss it.

Light Up Longview
Saturday December 6th 5 PM

We're bringing back the "Light Up Your House" contest with great prizes and bragging rights for first place for years to come — and don't forget the business competition and that awesome trophy!

Voting will take place on Light Up Night, December 6th, so make sure your place is fully decorated before you head to the campground to vote and join the Christmas festivities.

Come join us at this wonderful community gathering — we'll have Santa, bonfires, hot dogs, smores, hot chocolate, fire truck rides, and lots of fun for everyone!
Senior bus will commence pick up at 4:30 pm.

Thank you, Longview and Local Area for your help setting up Christmas lights in Longview, 23 volunteers Saturday and 21 volunteers Sunday. It was the largest group we have had yet, for L*L. It was almost 200 hours.
