Trivia, Karaoke, Murder Mystery, Screenings, Readings, Workshops, FASHION SHOWS and more have been coming together throughout the year. It has been so much fun and we are building our team and getting everything further along every day.

Judge Doom remains one of the most unexpectedly terrifying villains ever put into a family movie - but apparently Who Framed Roger Rabbit could have been even scarier.

Before Christopher Lloyd landed the role, Tim Curry auditioned to play Doom. According to accounts surrounding the film’s casting, Curry’s performance was considered so terrifying that the filmmakers ultimately decided against casting him.

That’s saying something considering what Lloyd eventually delivered. His seemingly emotionless Doom becomes increasingly unsettling throughout the movie before the horrifying finale reveals his true identity as a Toon, complete with bulging red eyes and a shrieking voice.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was released in 1988, but that Judge Doom reveal has been nightmare fuel for generations of kids ever since.

Once again, can’t help but agree!

It’s honestly wild how Naomi Scott’s performance in SMILE 2 never reached the same level of mainstream praise that Inde Navarrette is now getting for OBSESSION.

Scott completely carried SMILE 2 as Skye Riley, spending nearly the entire movie spiraling through panic, addiction, grief, paranoia and full psychological collapse. Critics at the time repeatedly called it career defining, phenomenal and one of the strongest horror performances of 2024.

Inde Navarrette absolutely deserves the huge praise she is receiving for OBSESSION, with some critics already calling her performance Oscar worthy. But that makes the contrast even crazier, because Naomi was doing equally unhinged, physically exhausting work in SMILE 2 two years earlier.

Different movies, different performances, both incredible. But Naomi Scott really deserved to be part of this exact same conversation when SMILE 2 came out.
