Taree parkrun

Taree parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk held at 8am every Saturday morning at 8am The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once!

Parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Taree Parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful waterfront and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever Parkrun event. Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

It would be great if we could get another barcode scanner to give Melissa a hand on Saturday.
Let me know if you can help.

What is a Volunteer Coordinator?
In simple terms it is someone who marks off the volunteers as they roll in and hands out vests and lanyards.
This frees up the Run Director to concentrate on all the other stuff a Saturday morning brings.
AND YOU STILL GET TO RUN!
If you can tick people off 🤔and hand out vests, I could use your help on Saturday.
Thanks
Garry. This weeks RD

parkrunners of Taree - we have a problem!
We are two days out from parkrun and at this stage do not have any barcode scanners.
This is an essential role, as without barcode scanners we cannot hold the event.
Can we PLEASE get two volunteers to fill the position?
