Cabaret of Curiosities Gothla AU Showcase

Not your usual night of dance...

Be prepared to be dazzled, seduced, saddened, bewitched, and enthralled by a night of bellydance and burlesque. Featuring multiple contemporary styles of fusion bellydance including gothic, theatrical, metal and 20's inspired, and burlesque which ventures far beyond the usual glove peel. Gothla AU plays with concepts not portrayed on mainstream stages, and toys with emotions on a spectrum from joyous to disturbed.

Doors open at 8pm, show starts 8.30pm.

Our last vendor announcement for the Open Stage - it's !!

Once again we will be holding a raffle at our Open Stage with some incredible prizes for our Gothla AU community! Proceeds will be donated to Camp Breakerz, an organisation which provides dance classes to children living in Palestine. This is a cause very close to our hearts, as we know dance has the potential to provide healing and hope.

Tickets will be available on the door at the Open Stage, $2 each, 3 for $5, or 8 for $10.

WORKSHOP SPOTLIGHT: 6 PILLARS OF CREATION;A CHOREOGRAPHY LAB WITH THAIS CARVALHO

Saturday 21st November 10am-12pm

This is a transformative and highly interactive Fusion Workshop designed to break the monotony of traditional step-based choreography classes. Instead of simply “learning combos,” dancers enter a creative laboratory where they participate in the artistic process, explore emotional and geometric embodiment, and co-build a cinematic piece.
Through guided experimentation, dancers generate raw movement material, which is then shaped into a structured choreography using the Six Pillars of Creation. The result is a deep, empowering, and unforgettable collaborative process where every dancer contributes to the final piece. This lab blends fusion technique, emotional depth, shape design, and collaborative creation. Dancers leave with a fully embodied choreography and a deeper understanding of how to translate emotion, color, and movement tasks into structured artistic work.
