Dear dancers a reminder to get your tickets and workshop choices in early for AUSET april 16-18 2027! The exciting theme is Egyptian dance with contemporary influences and the brand new choreographies that feature have a wonderful fresh energy. We welcome special guests:

Eman Ibrahim Zaki
Virginia Rizkallah ElMasri
Kylie Astarte Morrison

Plus Perth teachers and our fabulous drummers and live music!

Rehearsals will begin soon at the Blue Lotus Room between Oct 2026 - Mar 2027 for Kazafy's previous workshop choreographies to be performed on stage - Muwashahat and Milayah. Contact me if you attended, and are interested.

How exciting! Virginia Rizkallah ElMasri and Kylie Astarte Morrison will be our special guests at AUSET Apr 16-18 2027, along with Mohamed Kazafy and Eman Ibrahim Zaki. Book your tickets folks because the workshops have limited space due to studio space and props. Last year Kazafy sold out all workshops!!

Hello dancers, we are excited to announce the return of Mohamed Kazafy to Perth with bold new works, for modern Egyptian stage dances for AUSET 2027! 'Almaz Misr' dates are April 16-18, 2027. Be sure to join the newsletter to get all the news and program first! Plus earlybird deals. The theme celebrates Bellydance Fusion and progressive new dances with a creative edge.

Hi folks we had a bit of a detour to try to get Amr back to Egypt but thankfully he's on a flight now! In the meantime a quick follow-up, we will be getting info out to AUSET class participants next week, including some of the teacher's notes plus Kazafy's music track details and a short clip of the final demo in each class to refresh your memories. Once again a big thank you from all of us. 🙏

Thank you everyone... from the participants and guests, to performers, the helpers, volunteers, Dick Stein for the videos, my dad for sound engineering, our lighting operator, Sam Nascimento for the music and hard work ... to EVERYONE who attended and joined in the fun and festivities, thank you so much!!!! AUSET - final call

AUSET festival 20-22 Feb, for lovers of authentic Egyptian dancing and drumming. Explore the true heart, origin and source of Egyptian culture and it's deeply-rooted artistry! This is the powerful backbone of most bellydance styles that have evolved around the world, from traditional to classical to fusion. We'd love you to join us, and guests Amr Abou Zeid and Mohumed Kazafy from Cairo. All levels welcome, for fun drum and dance workshops. 💗
