After 51 years of continuous operation, Perth Concert Hall will now close its doors to undergo a full revitalisation for the benefit of artists, audiences, and the community.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who has walked through our doors and shared the love for music, performance, and the arts with us.

There’s a lot that goes into creating the exceptional concert experiences our patrons have come to expect at Perth Concert Hall, none of which would be possible without the amazing team at PCH. From the venue management, Box Office, and Front and Back of House crew, thank you to each and every one of you for your dedication to this place.

To the artists who have graced our stage, the audiences who have filled our halls with applause and joy, and the community that has supported us through every note—we are endlessly grateful.

As we close this chapter and look to an exciting future, we carry with us countless memories, and we look forward to welcoming you back to a reimagined Perth Concert Hall. Until then, thank you for being part of our story.

With heartfelt appreciation,
The Perth Concert Hall Team ❤️

A pinnacle of our community, Walter Haas will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The news of Walter’s passing has brought great sadness to us all.

Our thoughts are with Walter’s family and friends during this difficult time.

We deeply cherish the incredible moments we shared with him.

West Australian Symphony Orchestra is deeply saddened by the passing of Walter Haass, our cherished piano technician of over three decades.

Walter was not just a master of his craft, he was a beloved member of our WASO family. With his meticulous attention to detail, unwavering professionalism, and gentle spirit, Walter ensured that every pianist who worked with the orchestra performed on an instrument that inspired and enabled their artistry.

The West Australian once wrote, "Perth technician Walter Haass is the maestro the audience never sees." His work, though unseen by most, was profoundly heard by all. For audiences, performers, and conductors, Walter’s finely tuned pianos were the foundation of unforgettable musical moments.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Walter’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Thank you, Walter, for your extraordinary service and for helping us bring music to life.
