The Kiln Room

The Kiln Room offers a complete ceramic firing service for the local Melbourne based clay community. This includes potters, ceramicists, hobbyists, artists, sculptors, schools, community groups and small businesses.

The Kiln Room is the brainchild of Pie Bolton. Her concept is the evolution of a studio, growing in facilities and services at the request of the ceramic community and and aiming to build connections.

The first incarnation of The Kiln Room is as a complete ceramic firing service. More to come.

Pie has a wealth of experience when it comes to technical expertise, firing skills and general chatter about clay. Pie has been employed for many years years at tertiary institutions as a Ceramic Technician responsible for the management of multiple ceramic studios including wheel throwing, handbuilding, glaze, plaster and firing.
