Southern Lights Swing 2026 was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. I’m not a writer, so these words will never be able to communicate the depth of gratitude and emotions I still feel, but here is a little something in lieu of my state of overwhelm (complete lack of words) at the Awards!
Joy ✨ Watching the smiles, the laughter and the connection between everyone who was there was simply magical. The energy was palpable.
Awe ✨ Witnessing the SLS vision be absorbed and transformed by everyone into so much more than I ever could have anticipated. The emotion was felt so deeply in my chest.
Inspiration ✨ The creativity, the social dancing, the teachers, the team, the community, the in between moments filled with people showing up as the best versions of themselves, the giving, the support, the contribution…the trust! Your courage, vulnerability and care for each other was so dang inspiring.
Growth ✨ Seeing how people showed up ready to take on new ideas, experiment, make mistakes and learn. Also the growth in myself, learning when to hold true to values, push boundaries, reflect and respond to my mistakes, and when to put my trust in others is an incredible journey.
Gratitude ✨(the long part 😂)
Thank you to each and every one of you who attended, and contributed to Southern Lights Swing is some way, shape or from. Most of you were there in person, but some of you supported the event from afar. The magic of SLS is as much yours to celebrate as it is mine.
