Pace Car Update

The Thunderbolt Run pace car is up on the hoist today at Bridgestone Select Helensvale after developing a pretty serious noise from the rear left during our Thunderbolt Run Supercar Driver event over the weekend.

When you’re leading high-performance spirited drives, safety is everything. Before the next full-throttle run, we want to make sure the Porsche Thunderbolt is 100% right and ready to lead from the front again.

Huge thanks to the crew at Bridgestone Select Helensvale for getting us straight in and helping diagnose the issue. Absolute legends.

Today we also had a visit from one of our local police officers who dropped in to check out the Porsche Thunderbolt and have a chat about what we’re building with the Thunderbolt Run community.

As many of you know, Thunderbolt Run proudly works alongside Beyond Blue to help raise awareness for mental health conditions affecting our frontline services, including police, fire, ambulance, military personnel, along with mental health challenges faced by everyday Australians. ❤️

Behind the supercars, luxury lifestyle and adrenaline-fuelled drives is something much deeper, community, connection and looking out for one another.

Introducing THUNDERBOLT RUN SUPER CAR DRIVER.

Commencing the 3rd Saturday of every month from Sanctuary Cove Main Car Park.

6:30am — Arrival / Coffee

6:50am — Drivers Briefing

7:00am — Drivers to vehicles as we depart for a 2-hour FULL THROTTLE spirited drive experience.🥐

9:15am, Arrive at our breakfast destination.

This is not your average Supercar drive.

Expect curated roads, high-energy driving, premium cars, incredible people, and the Thunderbolt Run atmosphere so many have come to love.

To enhance both safety and the overall driving experience, all drivers will be supplied with:

• Two-way radio communication•

Thunderbolt Run software & live route maps•

Pace car and sweep vehicle support•

Structured convoy driving experience.

In between sales calls, meetings, and the constant pace of building something meaningful, sometimes you’ve just got to step away for a moment and reset.

A simple walk. Fresh air. A clear mind. Perspective.

Life moves fast for all of us, but today also reminded me how much respect I have for the people who don’t get the luxury of switching off when things get tough, our frontline services.

The men and women in police, fire, ambulance, and of course our military personnel who carry pressure, trauma, responsibility, and stress most people will never truly understand.
Yet they still show up every single day to protect and serve our communities.

That’s a huge part of why I continue to use Thunderbolt Run to help raise awareness around mental health conditions for our frontline heroes. Because behind every uniform is a human being carrying battles we may never see.

Sometimes strength isn’t about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s simply about slowing down for a moment, taking a breath, and resetting before going again.

Grateful for the walk.

Grateful for the journey. And incredibly grateful for the people who protect this country and our communities every day. ❤️

Today hits a little differently. ❤️

Mother’s Day always reminds me how lucky I was to have a mum whose love, strength and sacrifice helped shape the man I’ve become today.

As time goes by, you realise it’s not the material things in life that matter most, it’s the hugs, the conversations, the guidance, the unconditional love and the memories that stay in your heart forever.

To my beautiful mum, thank you for everything.
I miss you more than words could ever explain, but I carry you with me every single day.

And to all the incredible mums in the Thunderbolt family community, thank you for your love, strength and everything you do. Today is all about you.

Day 2 of Porsche Fusion 2026… and what a way to wake up.

This morning the Thunderbolt Run family rolled out from the iconic Imperial Hotel Gold Coast — formerly known as Palazzo Versace — for a 3 1/2 hour full throttle drive with a convoy of Porsche machinery echoing through the Gold Coast as we pointed south toward the magic of Byron Bay.

This wasn’t just a drive.
This was spirited full-throttle driving with purpose.
Luxury accommodation.
Decadent dining.
Premium beverages.
Like-minded people.
And memories being created in real time.

One of the most powerful things about Porsche Fusion is watching complete strangers arrive on Day 1… and by Day 2, it already feels like lifelong friendships are forming. That’s the magic of this community.

Today’s destination… the breathtaking Elements of Byron for a luxury beachfront lunch surrounded by incredible people, stunning cars, and unforgettable roads.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support what we’re building together with Thunderbolt Run and Porsche Club Queensland.

Porsche Fusion Day 1 - COMPLETE ✔️🔥

What an incredible first day on the road. From the morning start through to a full-throttle spirited drive, the Porsche Fusion teams enjoyed a day filled with stunning roads, great company, and unforgettable moments behind the wheel.

After an exhilarating day of driving, everyone relaxed, dined, and stayed at the beautiful Imperial Hotel, sharing stories from the road and enjoying the amazing atmosphere that makes these events so special.

Now it’s onto Day 2…

The teams are back on the road for another spirited drive, making their way to the stunning Elements of Byron for a well-earned decadent lunch in true Thunderbolt Run style.

Sunshine, incredible cars, luxury experiences, and lifelong memories, this is what Porsche Fusion is all about.

After breakfast overlooking the stunning Brisbane City skyline, our drivers are hitting the road under perfect blue skies for what promises to be an unforgettable day of spirited driving, luxury experiences, and great company.

With an amazing line-up of Porsche enthusiasts ready to tackle some of South East Queensland’s most scenic roads, the energy this morning was electric.
