Surfers Paradise Rugby Union Club Heavens Game Played in Paradise Surfers Paradise holds the proud record as the premiers for those first 8 years of Gold Coast rugby competition.

Our club was started in 1973, playing in the Brisbane centered competition until 1978 - the year that saw the formation of a Gold Coast & Districts rugby union competition. Several Surfers Paradise players have played in the Queensland country competition, and to this day we still have players in the country competition and other representative teams. Surfers Paradise hosts many visiting teams from around the world. Visiting teams use our facilities to train and play games from club level through to Super 15's. Surfers Paradise Rugby Union is one of the strongest and largest clubs on the Gold Coast and boasts 16 junior and 4 senior teams in the Gold Coast competition. I invite prospective players and parents to visit our club for friday afternoon training sessions or Saturday game day events to see for yourself our family friendly, community based club in action! It’s another big Saturday for the Dolphins as we head to Currumbin Rugby Union Club for Round 13 of the GCDRU competition.

With finals kicking off in August, every game counts from here on in.

💚 1st Grade are currently sitting 3rd on the ladder.
💛 2nd Grade are sitting 5th, with both sides firmly in the hunt for finals.
