Massive thanks to Mitchell and Brown Retravision for once again getting behind Wave Rally and generously providing vouchers for the winners of the next Wave Rally World Championships! 🏆

Mitchell & Brown have been incredible supporters of Wave Rally right from the very beginning, and we're extremely grateful for their ongoing generosity.

They're also huge supporters of community events and sporting clubs right across the Mid West, and it's local businesses like this that make such a difference to our region.

Another bit of great news for Wave Rally!

The Wave Rally World Championships has been nominated for Sporting Event of the Year at the 2026 Crothers Construction Mid West Sports Federation Sports Awards.

Really nice recognition for what the event has become in such a short time, and for everyone who has competed, volunteered, sponsored, supported or helped make it happen.

Big thanks to the Mid West Sports Federation for the nomination and recognition. Looking forward to the awards night in Geraldton in November! 🏆

Pretty unreal to see Wave Rally make the finals of the 2026 Australian Sailing Awards!

For a windsurfing event out of Geraldton and the Mid West to be getting this sort of national recognition is pretty special, and it’s a credit to everyone who has backed the event, competed, volunteered, sponsored or helped out along the way.

GERALDTON ON THE NATIONAL STAGE

After taking out the 2026 WA Sport Promotion Award, Wave Rally has now been named one of just three national finalists in the Australian Sailing Awards. For an event created and run out of Geraldton, that’s a pretty special milestone — particularly as Wave Rally is the only finalist representing the Mid West. To be recognised alongside some of the strongest sailing events and organisations in Australia shows just how far this event has come in a short time. Proud to be flying the flag for Geraldton, Coronation Beach and the Mid West on the national stage.

Big thank you to Chantel Maughan and Rigters IGA Durlacher and Queens for supplying Wave Rally with a voucher to pay for supplies for the volunteers. This is the 2nd year they've done this in a row and it's very appreciated.

A big thank you to the Shire of Chapman Valley for once again providing financial support for the Wave Rally World Championships! This is now the third year the Shire has been involved with Wave Rally, and their support goes well beyond funding. Coronation Beach provides the incredible location for the event, and the Shire works with us on the permits and approvals that make the championships possible.

A special shout-out to the Shire rangers who look after Coronation Beach — they're always great to work with and help keep everything organised around the event. Absolute legends! And a big thank you to the waste collection crews who service the bins and dumpster at Coro and help us encourage everyone to recycle wherever possible. These are the behind-the-scenes jobs that make a big difference when you've got a lot of people using the site.

We're very fortunate to hold Wave Rally at such a special location and have the Shire behind us for the third year running. Thanks to everyone involved! 🤙
