Yesterday we said farewell to Luigi Bazzani OAM, Luigi along with his beautiful wife were bastions in the food and wine scene in Regional Victoria bringing award winning fine dining to Bendigo ( Copper Pot) Ballarat ( La Scala ) and of course the infamous Canopy Club. Geelong ( Lambys) and to the Pyrenees Warrenmang Winery.
Luigi didn’t just open restaurants he bought old buildings with character and built them from the ground up. Yes he was a pioneering creative visionary loved and respected by all he came in contact with.
For me he showed me what real passion for food was all about, he was a mentor for me in my early years and although he didn’t know it at the time , he shaped my career. His love and passion of the industry became mine and for that I will always be most thankful.
RIP dear man.

Just had to go see what Bernard, Liz and Peta have created .
Yes this is how they do it. Brilliant! With past Golden Plate Best Chef at the helm the kitchen is in great hands and Peta has front of house well polished in such a short time.
Put it on your bucket list, the Gallery alone is a must see.
