'Good opportunity to show respect': carnival to honour fallen police offer
When the idea was first floated to recognise Constable Keith Smith at the Devonport Athletic Club’s biggest day of the year, the support was immediate.
The men’s A grade scratch race at the Devonport Christmas carnival will be named in honour of the fallen officer, and will be run and won on Monday, December 29.

“Alison Jarman contacted the club and asked if we will would do it,Then Alison spoke to the Central Coast Council who spoke with his family and the police, they were happy.
