Dear McGrath Launceston Running Festival ,

Congratulations on producing the fastest 10km run on Australian soil this year.

Edward Marks' 27:57 is absolutely ridiculous. 👏🔥

However...

We would like to submit a formal complaint from Devonport.

While you had the fastest runner, we appear to have collected everyone else.

Of the top 10 men's times recorded this year on Australian soil.

2nd 🥈 28:44 – Devonport
3rd 🥉 28:48 – Devonport
4th 28:55 – Devonport
5th 29:01 – Devonport
6th 29:06 – Devonport
7th 29:08 – Devonport

So while Launnie produced the rocket ship, Bluff 2 Boat Ramp apparently produced the traffic jam of sub-29s. 😂

We are therefore claiming the unofficial title of:

"Australia's fastest 10km this year (until proven otherwise)."

🔥 Runner Spotlight 🔦 🔥

Each week we are going to do a spotlight on some of the runners who have taken part in the Bluff 2 Boat Ramp. First up

" My name is Ari and I run a YouTube channel about Rubik’s cubes, which I just hit 1 million subscribers on! My current personal best 3x3 solve is 3.87s, and I make videos on pro cubing competitions.

I started running about six months ago after my mate Mitchell got me into it. Before running I did badminton and swimming. Mitchell and I ran the Bluff 2 Boat Ramp 10k this year and both clocked a huge PB together which was a really rewarding experience - I got 38:15.
Since then, I’ve also ran the Hobart Half Marathon in 1:28 and am training for the upcoming Launceston HM.

I find both speedcubing and running incredibly rewarding. Doing the practice to achieve new PBs and making new friends is awesome! "
