National Finals is not just a bigger version of a regional event.

It is something genuinely different. 💜

Dancers who have competed at both will tell you the same thing — there is an energy at Finals that is hard to describe until you have been in the room for it. Everyone has earned their place there. Everyone in the building has been through a full season of preparation to stand on that stage.

That changes the atmosphere completely.

Gold Coast. January 2027.

We cannot wait to see who walks through those doors. 🏆

To the teacher who has watched the same routine approximately 9,000 times and still genuinely cheered when it happened on stage. 💜

We see you.

The amount of work that goes into getting a studio to a competition — and we mean ALL of it, not just the choreography — is enormous. And most of it is invisible to everyone except the people in that room at 6pm on a Wednesday.

Thank you for caring enough to do all of it.

Reminder that some of the scariest things in dance actually happen year-round. 👀

Forgetting your music is playing in approximately 30 seconds.

Realising your costume change is in 45 seconds.

Being told there are THREE sections before yours so settle in… and then being called to the stage immediately.

Happy Halloween from the Evolution team. 🎃💜

National Finals is getting closer, and we realise not everyone has been to one before.

What actually IS Evolution National Finals? 👇

Swipe through for everything you need to know 👉

The short version: it is where Season 10 concludes. Performers who competed at any regional event this year or through Online Qualifiers are all eligible to enter.

Gold Coast. January 2027 💜

28/10/2026

The routines might be why we all came.

But THESE are the bits we love just as much. 💜

The backstage chaos. The team huddles. The cheering from the wings for someone from a completely different studio. Meeting dancers you have competed against for three years but never actually spoken to. The moment someone yells WHO HAS HAIRSPRAY and twelve hands go up at once.

These are the bits that stick.
