Nobody talks enough about what competition day is like for the parents. 💜

You’ve driven to every rehearsal. You’ve done the hair at 6am. You’ve watched the same routine approximately 400 times in the lounge room. And then you sit in that audience and watch your dancer walk onto a stage — and none of the stress matters anymore.

This is what Evolution events look like from the seats. And we think about you just as much as we think about the dancers.

SEQ Solos 2026, what an incredible weekend. 💜

This year we brought Evolution SEQ Solos to a brand new venue, Somerset Civic Centre in Esk, and it delivered in every way we hoped it would.

The space was beautiful, the stage was stunning, and the whole environment felt exactly like what Evolution is about, professional, warm, and worthy of every single performer who stepped onto it.

Thank you to every dancer, teacher, family and studio who made Evolution SEQ Solos 2026 such a special event. You made this new chapter feel like home from day one.💜

June is almost here, and the Evolution season is absolutely flying. 📅

Here's what's coming up:

🌴 Cairns: 19–21 June 2026
🇳🇿 Christchurch: 1–3 July 2026
🏙️ Melbourne: 16–20 July 2026
🌊 Fraser Coast: 23–26 July 2026

And that's just the next two months. The full season runs all the way through to Yeppoon in September, with National Finals on the Gold Coast in January 2027.

Have you added the Artistry Award to your Evolution entry yet? 💛

This is your reminder — especially for anyone who has already entered their solo and hasn't ticked the Artistry box yet.

Here's how to add it:
1. Log in via the Draft Program link
2. Click My Entries
3. Tick the box under the routine you'd like to enter for Artistry
4. Click Save
5. Complete payment via Enter More or Modify Payment in the bottom right corner

At $15 per solo, it's one of the best value additions you can make to your competition entry — and the winner in each age category takes home a $50 award made up of $25 cash and $25 EVO Dollars.

They are in Singapore TOMORROW, Friday 29th May, and there are still limited spots available across all three sessions.

Gianna is the choreographer behind all 8 seasons of Dance Moms and on faculty with Broadway Dance Center and Millennium Dance Complex. Natalie teaches at ALDC LA, judges at Dance Worlds, and has performed at New York Fashion Week. Together they are one of the most exciting masterclass combinations you will find anywhere in the world right now.

Singapore, your Evolution adjudicators have arrived 👏

Meet two of your judges, Gianna Martello and Natalie Minns, two of the most exciting names in the international dance industry, and they are both here for YOU this season.

Gianna is best known for her work across all 8 seasons of Dance Moms and has been choreographing since she was 16. Her work has appeared in films, music videos and major award shows including the Kids Choice Awards and the ASTRA Awards, she has worked with artists including Todrick Hall, and she is on faculty with Broadway Dance Center, Millennium Dance Complex, Wild Dance Intensive and Titans Dance Convention. She recently headlined Move It — London's largest dance event.

Natalie is based in Los Angeles, teaches at studios including ALDC LA, judges at Dance Worlds, and has performed at New York Fashion Week and in music videos for Jojo Siwa, Allegra Miles and Emily Rowed. She also holds an MBA in Interdisciplinary Business alongside her Bachelor of Arts in Dance — which might be the most impressive combination of qualifications we have ever seen on a bio.

These two are bringing an international standard of feedback to the Evolution Singapore stage — and every performer who receives their critique this season is genuinely lucky.

Singapore, here is the rest of your Evolution adjudicator panel. And yes, it keeps getting better. 👏

Matt Landel grew up on the Gold Coast and trained at The Australian Ballet School before heading to America to perform the principal role of Mr. Mistoffelees in CATS aboard Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas — one of the largest cruise ships in the world. He has since become one of Australia's most respected national and international adjudicators, including multiple Evolution National Finals on the Gold Coast and previous Evolution events right here in Singapore. Matt knows this community, and this community knows Matt.

Deanne Smith is the Artistic Director of the Gail Meade Performing Arts Centre in Perth with over 35 years of teaching experience and three decades of adjudication across Australia and internationally. Her students have gone on to perform with the West Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, The Australian Ballet School, Queensland Ballet, Cirque Dreams London and Hong Kong Disneyland. She has led workshops across Australia and Asia and brings a depth of knowledge to the panel that is genuinely rare.

Four adjudicators. Four extraordinary careers. One panel built entirely around helping your dancer grow.

Brisbane groups 💜

Three days. Hundreds of performers. Dozens of studios bringing everything they had to that stage.
