Westech is moving to the weekend! Save the date: Friday 3 & Saturday 4 September 2027, Barcaldine.

Since our inaugural Field Days in 1983, Westech has been a Tuesday–Wednesday event. In 2027, we're trialling a Friday and Saturday so more people can come along. If you work full time or can't get off the property midweek, Saturday is your day.

We're excited to give the weekend a go and to bring you the Westech you know and love, with plenty of fresh ideas to make it even better.

Exhibitor and sponsor applications will open soon, so keep an eye on our socials for further updates.

Meet the machine built to save your back from a thousand fence lines.

This wire winder and dispenser was on show at Westech 1990, dreamed up by Graham Hansen from Emerald. Wind it, store it, roll it back out, no drama.

Did your family have one of these back in the day? Tell us about it.

Braver than most of us. Would you get this close to a lizard for a lolly? That's R.E.S.T.A. giving this lot an up close look at one of the locals, 2017.

Westech's always had something for the whole family, scales included.

Recognise any of these kids? Tag their parents, they'll want to see this.

Mic in hand and mid story, that's our mayor Rob Chandler doing what he does best. Ask anyone who's stood near him with a microphone. The man can spin a yarn. Agree?

Big crowd, big lesson. Westech 2005, and this mob turned out to learn their cuts of meat. Camp chairs, hats, sunnies, everyone settled in for the show. Scan the crowd. Spot yourself or anyone you know?

Perched on the rails and ready for a big night. Westech 2017, Tuesday night party in full swing. Four smiles, one great night out. Know any of these faces? Tag them below.

Grab a seat, this one's a blast from the past. Half the Westech Committee at the time are somewhere in this tent, can you spot them?

This was the Coopers tent, Paramax boxes stacked high, a free Drizabone jacket thrown in, and a dirt bike parked for good measure. Coopers has backed Westech for years, and this crew was clearly making the most of it.

Bonus round: is this 2002 or 2005? Take a guess.

Throwback to 2002! 📸 Elders has been backing Westech Field Days for decades, showing up event after event to support our farming community. This shot takes us right back to that Westech. Do you recognise anyone in this photo? Tag them below!
