Incredible comeback from the evergreen Mark Williams who recovered from 4-0 and 5-1 down to defeat Shaun Murphy, 6-5, and reach his 45th ranking event final!

Already the oldest ranking event champion of all-time, Williams has the chance to better that record tomorrow when he faces Ali Carter in the final.

CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE THROWN WIDE OPEN!

What a remarkable week in the Championship League.

The great news was the return of two of the competition's biggest names. Danny Allen was back after illness, while defending champion Uncle Rick returned from a back injury. It was fantastic to see both players back in action after missing recent rounds.

Unfortunately, Ethan Wong has withdrawn from the remainder of Series 2 due to university commitments. We thank Ethan for being part of the competition and wish him all the best with his studies. We hope to see him back at SnookerSA in the future.

Before Wednesday's action, the league also caught up on a postponed match between former Tuesday Teams champions Steve Harris and Guy Taylor. In one of the biggest surprises of the season, Guy produced an emphatic 5-0 victory over his former teammate. Could this be the result that kick-starts Guy's season? Or will it dent Steve's title charge? The coming weeks will tell.

Wednesday night continued the drama.

Steve Harris bounced back from Monday's defeat by edging Fermin So 3-2 in a match worthy of two title contenders. Steve showed why he has spent so much of the season at the top, digging deep when it mattered most.

Fermin So continues to enjoy an outstanding campaign and remains firmly in the championship hunt. His consistency and heavy scoring have established him as one of the competition's genuine stars.

The ever-improving Keishan Fox claimed another important victory, edging Guy Taylor 3-2. Keishan continues to mature every week and has well and truly established himself as a serious finals contender.

Another player finding form at exactly the right time is Allan Murphy. His 4-1 victory over Matt Mielke lifts him back into the Top 8, keeping his Major Championship hopes alive.

With Danny and Rick back, the title race has another exciting dimension. Every round now seems to produce another twist, and the battle for the Top 8 is becoming more intense with every passing week.

The quality of snooker has been exceptional all season, and the determination shown by every player has made this one of the strongest Championship Leagues SnookerSA has staged.

One catch-up match changed the conversation. Danny and Rick are back. The Top 8 battle is heating up.

Series 2 just keeps getting better.
