To every single person who walked through our gates, every artist who gave us their heart on stage, every sponsor and partner who believed in the vision, every supplier, crew member, security team, government department and stakeholder who worked behind the scenes, thank you for making Jacaranda Music Festival 2026 unforgettable.

For nine years, we’ve watched Jacaranda grow, evolve and become something bigger than any one of us. It belongs to the music, the people and the city.

JACARANDA FESTIVAL FAQs — A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

We’ve heard your questions, so here are a few clarifications to help everyone enjoy Jacaranda safely and comfortably.

1 •Single Entry Policy
Our single-entry policy was introduced following careful security consultation with the relevant authorities. One of the challenges at large events is the misuse, duplication or passing around of access tags, which can result in unauthorised people entering the venue.

To be absolutely clear: once you enter the festival and then leave the venue, you cannot re-enter using the same tag. We understand this may be an inconvenience for some, but the decision was made with the overall security of the festival in mind.

2•YES, YOU CAN BRING CAMPING CHAIRS!
You are welcome to bring your own camping chair and find a comfortable spot to enjoy the festival. Come ready to settle in and enjoy the experience.

ABOUT THE $20 CORKAGE FEE
We’ve also heard some concerns regarding the $20 corkage charge.

Food and beverages are available for purchase inside the venue, and we encourage festival-goers to support the bars and vendors operating at Jacaranda. At the same time, rather than completely prohibiting people from bringing their own alcohol, we chose to allow it subject to a $20 corkage fee.

So you have a choice: purchase your drinks inside the festival or bring your own and pay corkage at the entrance.

These policies are not designed to make your festival experience difficult. They are there to help us manage a large gathering safely, fairly and sustainably.

Important Announcement: Jah Prayzah – 2026 Jacaranda Music Festival, Day 1

We wish to inform festival attendees and the public that Jah Prayzah will not be performing tonight as scheduled at the 2026 Jacaranda Music Festival – Day 1.

Despite our best efforts and close communication with his management, and after exploring every possible avenue to proceed as planned, we regret to inform you that, due to circumstances beyond our control, Jah Prayzah will unfortunately not be able to perform tonight.

We sincerely apologize to all festival attendees and everyone who was looking forward to his performance.
Please note that In Total and Takura – The Shona Prince have been added to today’s line-up.

The Festival will proceed as planned. Today’s gates open at 18:00.

The Jacaranda music Festival has kicked off! We convened the Festival Managers Roundtable as part of the British Council and Swiss-supported Festival connect programme. The idea was simple: bring together people in our networks working in the festival and events space who may operate in different contexts, but face many of the same challenges. Our experiences often overlap. The bottom line is that we need each other. There is so much we can learn from one another, share with one another and build together. Creating spaces for like-minded people to connect, exchange knowledge and build meaningful relationships is an important step towards strengthening our creative industry. A big thank you to these amazing minds.
