Voices of Fugard, The Reps Theatre Athol Fugard Festival concluded after five performances celebrating the work of one of South Africa’s greatest playwrights.

Audiences experienced staged readings of Sizwe Bansi Is Dead, Master Harold…and the Boys, Hello and Goodbye, Valley Song and The Road to Mecca. Together the plays explored themes of identity, memory, injustice, reconciliation and artistic freedom.

Reps extends its sincere thanks to all the actors, directors and our stage manager whose work brought these powerful texts to life. A huge thank you as well as to the audiences who joined us in celebrating Fugard’s extraordinary contribution to world theatre and his enduring relevance within Southern Africa today.
