65 YEARS IN THE MAKING… and what a ride it’s been 🎣
From the early days of “is it big enough to weigh?” and the buzz around the weigh bay, to today’s slick, conservation-driven approach with 100% catch and release powered by the KEEPNET app KITFT has truly evolved with the times.

Back then, it was all about landing the biggest fish (and maybe stretching the truth just a little when telling the story later 😄). Now, it’s about skill, precision, and making sure that fish swims away to fight another day. Same passion… just a smarter playbook.

Over the years we’ve seen it all from handlines and tried-and-tested bait secrets, to the latest rods, reels, and techniques. Some anglers still swear their “secret bait” is unbeatable… funny how it changes every season though! 👀

KITFT isn’t just a tournament it’s a tradition. Generations of anglers, decades of memories, and a community that keeps growing stronger year after year.

From weigh-ins to wireless, from keep nets to KEEPNET we’ve come a long way… and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

For over six decades, KITFT has been more than just a fishing tournament it’s been 65 years of competition, laughter, smiles, big catches… and let’s be honest, a few “the one that got away” stories that get bigger every year 😄
From early mornings on the water to sunsets filled with tales of glory (and creative exaggeration), KITFT is where friendships are forged, rivalries are born, and the true spirit of angling comes alive.
It’s not just about the biggest fish it’s about the moments in between:
the banter, the near misses, the celebrations, and the shared love of the sport that keeps everyone coming back year after year.
65 years of memories. 65 years of legends. And we’re only getting started.
