Bulawayo Arts Awards Welcome to Bulawayo Arts Awards page. The awards know no race or tribe as the awardsโ€™ base is a cosmopolitan City.

*Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA)* are multi-disciplinary arts awards that recognise and honour exceptional individuals and collaborative artistic efforts in the city of Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and South, Further BAA will honour those born in Bulawayo and practicing arts around the world. The Bulawayo Arts Awards are not meant to counter any awards or forms of recognition in Bulawayo or the country in general but are intended to compliment the efforts that are already being made to recognise, encourage and honour artists from the greater Matabeleland region. The awards are being curated to recognise good effort and talent amongst our artists. The inaugural edition of the awards will be held in *June 2017*

STORY TIME ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

Nine Years ago, the very first BAAs went live, and Urban Culxure AKA Culxure Mag was on the ground serving all the juice, sauce, and of course a few sharp disses for those who were completely out of ORDER.

What a night it was. Philani Nyoni collected his award and said absolutely ๐๐Ž๐“๐‡๐ˆ๐๐† in an iconic moment of pure silence.

Ntando Van Moyo 'The General' finally had his long-overdue ๐€๐–๐€๐‘๐ƒ.

Willis Wataffi & Edith Weutonga completely tore the roof off the venue with electrifying, show-stopping live performances that had the whole crowd on its feet.

Madlela Skhobokhoboโ€™s Short Stories swept the night with 3 wins, Ngamnanka claimed Song of the Year, the late King of Hip Hop, Cal_Vin, grabbed 2 awards, and the legendary Cont Mhlanga received the ๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž ๐€๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ
