STATEMENT BY SENIOR CHIEF MONZE ON THE MOURNING OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS CHIEF MPEZENI
Senior Chief Moonze of the Tonga Speaking people in Monze has joined calls for the nation to mourn the passing of His Royal Highness Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV with peace, unity, and dignity befitting a revered traditional leader.
The Senior Chief described his Majesty Paramount Chief Mpezeni as a custodian of culture, a symbol of traditional leadership, and a respected voice who dedicated his life to serving his people and promoting harmony among communities.
“As we come to terms with this great loss, I urge all Zambians to mourn with respect and dignity. Let us honour the life and legacy of Paramount Chief Mpezeni by maintaining peace, showing compassion to the bereaved family, and supporting one another during this difficult period,” said Senior Chief Moonze.
He further called on traditional leaders, community members, and the nation at large to set aside differences and unite in remembrance of a leader whose contribution transcended tribal and regional boundaries.
Senior Chief Moonze conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Ngoni Royal Establishment, the Ngoni people, the bereaved family, and all those affected by the loss.
“May the memories of his leadership, wisdom, and service continue to inspire future generations. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
