The story of Stephen Zimba alias Bimba Mawele all over.
A young boxer from Chilenje, Lusaka who went on to become an Olympian in the 2021 Japan Tokyo summer Olympics branded as Tokyo 2020 Olympics and 2022 Commonwealth silver medalist.
The time he had joined the Zambia Army his mèntal hèalth started declining..Those
posts were made due to mèntal breakdown. He wasn't and isn't in a stable state of mind, and what his ex employer posted does not reflect his true character. Mèntal hèalth struggles are real, and compassion matters.
There are a lot of unanswered questions regarding to Stephen Zimba?
But let me answer a few:
°Regardless of his mèntal hèalth issues the boy does not engage in criminal activities and he is not a threat to society
.
°He stop training boxing close to 2 years now due to his mèntal hèalth illnèss which led him to substanc€ abusè.
° Stephen Zimba did not fail boxing but us Zambian have failed Stephen Zimba and Boxing as a sport .
I also have unanswered questions to be answered in the comment on this post??
1. Why is Bimba Mawele willing to go back to boxing but under a good sponsor and a professional contract??
2. Why is Bimba Mawele willing to go for rèhab and stop substance abuse under a different sponsor?
