March 17, 2026, we were honored to host our Limpopo Assitej coordinator Mr. Vhonani Rantsana, a distinguished guest from the Vhembe district, in an event that has become a memorable milestone for us. Our facilitators presented a captivating Pedi dance performance, enhanced by poignant poetry recitals that resonated deeply with the audience. The powerful show, titled Toro, underscored the significance of ancestral power and the profound implications of denial.
Mr. Vhonani Rantsana praised the young performers' outstanding participation, specifically highlighting their impressive stage presence, which left a lasting impression. The performance's impact was so profound that it left him momentarily speechless, a testament to its exceptional quality. It was an honor to host the esteemed delegation, and the experience will continue to inspire us.
We subsequently escorted him to Ga-Rakgoadi at the Royal Palace, to the Mabelemabutswe Arts museum, which forms part of the Queen's heritage. He also had the opportunity to view Sepedi traditional instruments and historical attire, gaining valuable insight into the Matlala tribal authority's history.
