What an incredible event! The Winelands International Para Athletics Competition was a huge success, and we are so grateful to everyone who participated, supported, and made it an unforgettable experience.

We can't wait to see all the amazing athletes and supporters again next year! Until then, keep training hard and stay inspired.

Winelands International Para-Athletics Competition 2024 LOC would like to congratulate the top 3 winning athletes.

1st Place R3000 prize money with a gift pack from Old Mutual - Kruger Discus: 38.05m 1091 Raza points

2nd Place & R2000 prize money with a gift pack from Old Mutual Kerwin Noemdo: ShotPut 15.38m, 960 Raza points

3rd Place & R1000 prize money with a gift pack from Old Mutual Juané Le Roux: Discus 31.90m, 836 Raza Points.

We also commend all the athletes who competed today in our event, you are all champions.

We also wish to thank our sponsors, Western Cape Government Cultural Affairs and Sport, Stellenbosch Municipality, Pniel and Franschhoek Municipality, Maties Sport and Old Mutual South Africa for your generous support and for your presence at the event.

We are well underway at the Winelands international Para Athletics Competition hosted at Stellenbosch University

We are all excited for the Winelands international Para Athletics Competition is happening on Saturday 24 February 2024 at Coetzenburg Athletics Stadium in Stellenbosch.

Athlete registration opens at 7.30am.

Competition starts at 08.30am.

Entry for spectators is free.

CLASSIFICATION

There will be National Classification only, on Friday 23rd February 2024. Concluding with the final stage of classification (Observation in Competition Assessment) on 24th February.

Unfortunately, classification is available ONLY to Athletes with Physical Impairment (PI) at this stage, as it is being offered in conjunction with a PI Classifier Training Curse.

This is a very exciting initiative for the Africa Region, and we invite you, the athletes with physical impairment, to be part of it!
