DID YOU KNOW?

One of the performers of the BOTW show, Yes-Ya-Yebo, flew to Scotland in August of last year to take part in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, all supported through The Imibala Trust.

Yes-Ya-Yebo is a high-energy singing and dance group of 10 individuals that celebrates the 12 official languages of SA. From the gumboot dancing, and The Click Song, to Jerusalema, the cast brought energy with emotional depth that made audiences laugh, cry, and drawn to join in the dancing. Media and audiences members expressed that YYY was their favourite show at The Fringe, and received doube Five-star reviews from "One 4 Review" & Mervin Stutter's "Pick of the Fringe".

The Best Of The West performers delivered a heartfelt rendition of the 1979 South African classic, "Paradise Road", originally performed by the legendary group, Joy.

The evening became even more meaningful as the performance served as a tribute to Patric van Blerk, one of the song's original writers, who was present in attendance. A truly special moment celebrating South African music, legacy, and artistry.
