BlueFlash will once again be at this year's dive festival in full force.

Our focus is normally on exploring new reefs and searching for new wrecks but the dive festival gives us a chance to dive some old favorite sites, meet some old diving friends and introduce our services to new divers. And of course we love the festive atmosphere and the party after the prize giving.

We hope to see you there!

Oceans Africa welcomes you onboard our boat Sea Otter - a 19ft Butt Cat with 2 x 60hp Suzuki four stroke engines, rated to carry 6 passengers plus the skipper.
Built for Cape waters she is light, economical and very seaworthy. She will always bring you safely home from an exciting day at sea. With swim platform at the stern, enabling easy entry and exit from the water she is a fantastic boat for scuba diving, snorkeling and free-diving.

Dive charters on Sea Otter are exclusive and not rushed. We believe that time spent at sea is sacred and we want you to make the most of it, as we aim to deliver exceptional ocean experiences to all our clients and guests.

Oceans Africa was founded through passion and collaboration. In the true spirit of Ubuntu we love to partner with independent dive instructors, divemasters and organisations who would like to develop their own bespoke packages with us.

With over 20 years in the dive industry in South Africa we feel that itโ€™s time to move away from bucket list style experiences, towards providing more personalised and intimate charter services.

By diving with us, you join a dive team with the depth of knowledge, passion and experience to deliver a relaxed, yet safe and informative diving experience.

Not sure how the MPA permits work?

Here's the lowdown:
- SCUBA divers will be required to have and present their permits at the festival. - Freedivers are not required to have MPA permits.

Our festival boat operators already have the necessary permits in place to ensure they are allowed to carry our SCUBA and freedivers to and from the various dive sites within the marine protected areas during the festival.

If you are a SCUBA diver and do not yet have a permit, go to your nearest post office and buy your recreational SCUBA diving permit which will be valid for one year. Alternatively get a temporary permit from your nearest dive shop which will be valid for one month only.

With the festival less than a week away, make sure you have your permit ready for the festival - we wouldn't something as silly as a permit stand in your way of enjoying the marvelous diving False Bay has to offer!

The new kids on the block!

DiveTeam is the most recently established 5 Star PADI Dive Centre and DAN Industry Partner in Simonโ€™s Town.

Owned and managed by familiar local faces, they offer the full range of PADI scuba diving and freediving courses. They have a fully stocked retail dive shop, and they offer air fills on site, along with professional and industry-backed equipment repairs and servicing.
They also offer guided boat- and shore dives, and they are always eager to take their boat off the beaten track to the less-explored sites along the Cape Peninsula.

The owners are passionate about the ocean and its inhabitants, and they often devote their free time to conservation and research projects in need of logistical assistance or just an extra pair of hands. They have pledged to donate their proceeds from the Cape Town Dive Festival to , for the benefit of injured and vulnerable sea birds.

Please contact DiveTeam directly for any gear rentals and cylinders you need for the festival!

Divers need proper sustenance and that's what will be available at the festival!

Pier 23, the restaurant at the False Bay Yacht Club will be open with an ala carte menu throughout the day.

The festival will also have a boerie roll and soup stand to ensure our divers don't go hungry or cold!

The clubhouse bar, where we will be holding the prize giving, will be opened for snacks and thirst-quenching beverages as well!

With all these tantalizing options, consider your munchies taken care of and your thirst quenched!
