Hectic Promotions (non-profit corporation) has created a page where we will update our followers on all of our charity initiatives.

We have up to this point maintained pages for our two major cycling events, the Sun City Cycle4CANSA and Bestmed Tshwane Classic, but we feel there’s so much happening with our charity initiatives and we’d like to keep our followers up to date through an official Hectic Promotions channel.

REMEMBER TO CYCLE 67KM ON MANDELA DAY – LAST CHANCE TO ENTER!

Cyclists doing their 67km for Mandela Day tomorrow in the Miles of Smiles ride need to get their entries in before tonight at 23h00. Enter at www.cycleevents.co.za.

RIDE DATE: TOMORROW - 18 JULY 2020
START TIME: ANYTIME FROM 07H30
DISTANCE: 67km (MTB AND ROAD)
ENTRIES CLOSE: 17 JULY 2020
ENTRY FEE: R67

Your ride will make a difference in the lives individuals in need during this time.

If you would like to officially challenge someone, challenge them on the Bestmed Tshwane Classic page and make it official! You can post challenges in writing, or even upload a video challenge.

Upload pics and the Strava file of your ride. It’s always great when cyclists get an insight into each other’s rides.

CERTIFICATES TO ALL PARTICIPANTS

Cyclists who complete the ride, will receive a certificate via email as remembrance of their contribution.

HOW TO TAKE PART?

Enter on www.cycleevents.co.za. The entry fee is R67. Entries close tonight at 23h00.
Select a route over 67km which suits your level of ability, and simply take off, knowing that you are part of a community doing something special for a good cause!
Cyclists who take part in our charity rides during lockdown will receive a R50 discount on their entry into the Bestmed Tshwane Classic.

START TIME

The suggested start time is at 07h30 – but you’re welcome to start later!

WHAT'S THE POINT?

Just to have fun; to get out on the road and feel a sense of community, rivalry and camaraderie, and knowing that if you take part you are making a difference in someone els's life.
There are no cash prizes, but we will do a lucky draws with delightful gifts.

HOW DO I VIEW RESULTS?

There are no results. We're just having fun and contributing to a good cause, but Race Tec will publish a start list so that you can see which of your friends are also taking part

South Africans and former South African citizens living in Australia, New Zealand and all over Europe are getting in on the act on Sunday to ride 67km to fight poverty on Mandela Day!

Mandela Day gives South Africans living all over the globe the opportunity to feel a sense of national pride by hopping onto a bicycle and completing 67km to make their contribution to society, which is the driving vision behind celebrating Madiba’s life and the profound contribution he made to South Africa and, indeed, to humanity in general.
